204/366: A name etched is silver is worth its weight in gold

I still can’t quite believe I am on a salver that carries the weight of such illustrious ultra-running history on it. Look at some of the names on it. There’s the legendary in Don Ritchie right up to some present day athletes who inspire me every day, Jez Bragg, Terry Conway and some chap Paul Giblin to name but a few. I am a just a chubby asthmatic in his forties who tried his best. Now, well, my name is permanently set on what I’d personally regard as Scottish ultra running’s greatest title and trophy. How the fuck did that happen!?

I dedicate this photo to @ultrarundmc who created #milkingitmonday – but hell, I am doing it on a Friday so have no idea what hashtag I should use 🙂

This journey has been awesome. This picture is just mind blowing to me. I hope to create some more.

  1. I love the subtle humour of your reference to a hashtag dilemma. Congratulations!! What did you run to be etched? I see the time but not the event. Forgive my ignorance if it 9s something I should know!
